Kait LaForce joins us from her recent role overseeing all communications and policy as a manager in the office of Minister Filomena Tassi while she served as Deputy Government Whip. There she liaised with caucus and Cabinet on a daily basis and developed her strategic acumen with legislation and parliamentary committee procedure. Kait was also responsible for issues management, media and stakeholder relations. She worked with corporations, associations, NGOs, and others, guiding them through the grants and contributions process.

Kait also served as a communications strategist and writer for the Liberal Research Bureau where she produced communications products to support MPs, and was liaison between the Prime Minister’s Office and departmental staff to coordinate and manage digital communication strategy. There she developed her skills in caucus relations, in multicultural outreach and with social media and micro-targeting tactics.

Her previous experience also includes a role as Outreach and Sponsorship Coordinator for Free the Children, managing relationships with stakeholders and corporate donors, and various communications and marketing strategies. She was also a team lead for Me to We, working on WE Day events and content creation for communications outreach and digital platforms.  Kait is a graduate of York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English.  She was honored with the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award.
