Prior to joining Ensight, Tyler worked at Queen's Park, where he served in a variety of roles, both in Opposition and in Government.
Tyler most recently served as Issues Manager and Policy Advisor for the Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, where he dealt with issues such as avian flu and the B.S.E. crisis.
Prior to that, he worked for the Minister of the Environment, with policy and stakeholder-relations responsibilities. Before the 2003 provincial election, Tyler worked in M.P.P. offices including that of the Chief Whip of the Official Opposition. Tyler has participated in numerous provincial and federal election campaigns.
